HockeyConnect – the digital platform for young ice hockey players. Our goal: to connect players and scouts on a digital platform – without detours, without flying blind. "The virtual agent for players" Today, the path to the professional game for young players is often left to chance. Those without an agent have little visibility. Scouts, on the other hand, waste an enormous amount of time with scattered information on various platforms. There's no central, trusted platform for visibility, scouting, and communication. Players can't present themselves authentically and are dependent on contacts. Statistics are often distorted; time-on-ice (the time a player spends actively skating on the ice), for example, is almost never visible. This quickly distorts the statistics. Becoming a professional has too much to do with luck and too little with structure. A clear picture emerged from my survey responses and in-depth interviews with active professionals: The players need visibility. They need opportunities. And above all, they need a platform like HockeyConnect. Because whether they're young talent or experienced professionals, all three interviewees said the same thing: A platform like this would definitely have helped us.
